Good to know
Everything to know before your next little pause at 3: preorders, pickup, payment, and catering.
- Do you cater events?
Yes, across New York City. Send a request from our egg tart catering page, email us, or DM us on Instagram at @sandian.studio. We will reply within 12 hours.
- How does preordering work?
Choose your flavors and quantities, then send us your order. To pick up on Saturday, order by Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. that same week. We bake everything fresh for pickup.
- Where and when do I pick up?
Pickup is on Saturday near the Fort Greene farmers market, at 12 Willoughby Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11205.
- What's the difference between Portuguese and Hong Kong egg tarts?
Portuguese-style egg tarts, like the pastel de nata, have a flaky, layered puff pastry shell and a custard baked until the top blisters and caramelizes. Hong Kong-style egg tarts usually have a buttery shortcrust and a smooth, glossy custard with no browning. Ours are Portuguese-style, filled with Asian-inspired flavors from matcha to black sesame mochi.
- How do I reheat egg tarts?
Egg tarts are best the day you pick them up. To crisp the shell again, warm them in a 350°F oven or air fryer for 3 to 5 minutes. Skip the microwave, which makes the pastry soft.
- How do I confirm and pay for my preorder?
We will email you your confirmed pickup time and order receipt. Payment is due right away to confirm your preorder. All orders are final, and we do not accept returns or cancellations.
- How do I reach you?
